International Congress on Education Quality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

🗓 On November 16-18. The International Congress of Education Quality took place in Katowice. The event was dedicated to the quality of education and was held in a hybrid formula – stationary in Katowice and online (http:\/\/iceq.pl\/en\/home-english\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n


📌 During the third day of the Congress, which concerned international aspects of the quality of education, employees of the Institute of Materials Engineering (Joanna Maszybrocka, Ma\u0142gorzata Karolus, Magdalena Szklarska) together with foreign partners (Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey: \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Tala\u015f, Yelda Akcin, Melih \u00d6z\u00e7atal \/ Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine: Lidiya Boichyshyn, Iryna Marchuk \/ University of \u017dilina: Juraj Belan, Viera Zatkal\u00edkov\u00e1, Lenka Markovicova, Alan Va\u0161ko, Denisa Medveck\u00e1.) presented the assumptions and results of the project “Materials Science Ma(s)ters – developing a new master’s degree” co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + KA220-HED program 🇪🇺.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


📌 Professor \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Tala\u015f gave a speech, “Improving the quality of Education: Cooperation with the industry and its effect on the socio-economic dynamic of Universities” and took part in the debate “Quality in education: Approaches, Inspirations, Good Practices”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


📌 The Project Team also organised the “Employability from Engineering Students” workshop. During the workshop, the instructors (Joanna Maszybrocka and \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Tala\u015f,) presented definitional challenges related to the term “employability”. They also discussed the qualifications and competencies necessary to increase graduates’ chances in the labour market. Under the watchful eye of co-instructors (Ma\u0142gorzata Karolus, Ma\u0142gorzata Szklarska, Denisa Medevecka), workshop participants presented their conclusions in the form of a poster “Materials Engineer – The Most In-Demand Hard and Soft Skills”, which was presented during the poster session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


📌 Participation in the Congress contributed to the integration of the members of the Project Team. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas as well as joint arrangements regarding implementing the “Materials Science Ma(s)ters – developing a new master’s degree” project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
