The first day of the study visit at the University of Silesia began with a formal welcome to the participants by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Hab. Danuta Stróż. The project coordinator then presented the main assumptions, objectives, and achievements of the project, thoroughly discussing the project’s essential aspects. The project team detailed the “Objectives and Scope of the Study Visit Program”, explaining the range and goals of the study visit.

During the day, participants were introduced to the activities of the University of Silesia and the Faculty of Science and Technology. They also had the opportunity to visit the Institute of Material Engineering, which allowed them to gain direct insight into the research work conducted there.

Additionally, all participants received informational materials about the University of Silesia and specially prepared materials for workshops, designed to support the further part of the visit.

The afternoon session was devoted to acquainting the participants with the history of the region, where they visited the SILESIA UPRISINGS MUSEUM. The museum, an example of modern narrative museology, presented exhibits and multimedia paths, transporting participants to the realities of life in Upper Silesia at the beginning of the 20th century.

The first day of the visit concluded, providing participants with rich experiences and knowledge about the cultural and scientific heritage of Silesia.
