On February 8, 2022, representatives from four universities— Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine), the University of Silesia (Poland), Afyon Kocatepe University (Turkey), and the University of Žilina (Slovakia)—convened for an online organizational meeting. The purpose was to discuss the development of an international master’s program in Materials Science under the Erasmus+ program. Notable participants included Roman Gladyshevskyi from Lviv University, who highlighted the institution’s history and academic strength, and Assoc. Prof. Juray Belan from the University of Žilina presented the university’s activities. The meeting also featured insights from Professor Shukru Talas of Afyon Kocatepe University and Patrycja Wajda-Mierzwa from Silesian University, emphasizing their contributions to education and research. The collaborative project aims to enhance materials science education, with specific goals of improving the knowledge of over 200 academic teachers and enhancing pedagogical competencies through short training courses.
