Greetings from our virtual study visit at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv! Today was an enriching day as we delved into the vibrant cultural and academic heritage of Lviv, Ukraine.

We began with a captivating presentation by Dr. Zoriana Hren, Scientific Secretary, who introduced us to the wonders of the Vasy Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv. Dr. Hren’s talk not only highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage, especially during times of conflict, but also provided insights into the history of Turkish sultans. The discussion that followed was both fruitful and engaging, touching upon the challenges and strategies for safeguarding cultural artifacts during war.

Following Dr. Hren’s insightful presentation, Oksana Zelinska, a member of the “Materials Science Ma(s)ters” project, took us on a fascinating journey through chemistry at Lviv University. She shared insights into current research and innovations in the field, giving us a glimpse into the cutting-edge work happening at the university.

The exchange of ideas and knowledge throughout the day was truly inspiring, reminding us of the importance of cultural preservation and academic exploration.
