Online project meeting – survey analysis, conculsions from Seminar
On June 29, 2022, an online project meeting was held as part of the project “Materials Science Ma (s) ters – developing a new master’s degree” co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + KA220 HED program . The meeting was attended by representatives of partner universities, i.e. University of Silesia in Katowice: Joanna Maszybrocka, Małgorzata Karolus, Magdalena Szklarska, Tomasz Goryczka / Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey: Şükrü Talaş / University of Žilina, Slovakia: Juraj Belan, Denisa Medvecká / Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine: Lidiya Boichyshyn and Iryna Marczuk.
During the meeting, professor Şükrü Talaş presented the results of surveys conducted among students and entrepreneurs, showing to what extent the current didactic offer meets the needs of employers and to what extent it should be subject to possible changes.
Małgorzata Karolus summarised the seminar, which took place on May 12, and based on the conclusions of the speeches, she presented the present condition of the Material Engineering field of study in Poland and partner countries, as well as the prospects for activities aimed at increasing interest in science and technology.
The analyzes presented by both speakers allowed for the formulation of conclusions constituting valuable guidelines for the new educational program in the field of material engineering, which was being developed, adapted to the needs of the socio-economic environment and the expectations of students.
