Online meeting – Presentation of the report entitled “The market and science environment needs analysis”

On July 15, 2022, another online meeting took place as part of the “Materials Science Ma(s)ters – developing a new master’s degree” project, co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program KA220 HED (Foundation for the Development of the Education System – National Agency of the Erasmus+ Program and European Solidarity Corps). Representatives from partner universities participated in the meeting, including the University of Silesia in Katowice, with Dr. Joanna Maszybrocka, Dr. Hab. Małgorzata Karolus, Prof. UŚ, Dr. Hab. Tomasz Goryczka, Prof. UŚ, and Mgr. Patrycja Wajda-Mierzwa; Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey, represented by Prof. Dr. Şükrü Talaş; and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine, with Dr. Lidiya Boichyshyn and Dr. Iryna Marczuk.

The meeting featured a discussion on the “The market and science environment needs analysis” report, summarizing the initial stage of the project (IO1 – Intellectual Outputs 1). Based on the insights and recommendations from the report, a new interdisciplinary master’s program in materials engineering will be developed to meet the needs of the modern economy, job market, and society. The work on this new program is set to commence in October 2022.
